14 days left until we leave for Europe. It has been one year since we booked our flights, and started planning for our month long visit to Europe.
A quick over view of our trip has us starting off on Easter weekend in Rome and moving north through Florence and onto Venice. We will then be leaving Italy, where we fly for a quick visit to Ireland; starting and ending in Dublin we will hire a car and drive to the west coast and back. After this we fly to Paris before catching a train to Rotterdam, and staying over to visit Keukenhoff. Once we have had our fill of tulips we move north to Den overe and on to Germany and ending our trip in Denmark.
There’s a lot to see and do, even though a month seems like a long time this trip is going to be packed, for good or bad that is yet to be determined. I have been to Europe several times already and have put a lot of thought into sites and routes and timing. I know enough to not plan everyday to the hour or even to plan things for everyday, and to plan for the unexpected and to try and get lost once and a while. I have found that through the unexpected events that do occur they make for the best adventures and stories later on even though during that time it might not seem so awesome.
Counting down it has come so fast, I can’t wait to be back in Europe with my camera and this time with Lindsay. The food, culture, people, and the sites it’s just awesome. It should make for an excellent time and some great pictures, not just me doing the Gnome picture pose anymore.
